When a phone call can change your life

You'll understand the title of this post in no time.

Let me tell you.

At Zami, a minimalist shoe shop located in one of the hottest spots in Spain, you ask and we answer.

There is always someone who picks up the phone and answers your wasaps and emails.

And that someone is a real person, not a robot or artificial intelligence.

And that's how it will be as long as we exist.

You will see.

When I created ZaMi I spent a lot of time answering queries. Many phone calls lasted more than 1 hour and if the consultation was in person, in the shop, not to mention.

But I never minded, on the contrary, I saw it as very necessary.

And they didn't always buy, either because they weren't sure about it, because they had a lot of foot problems, because they didn't like the aesthetics, or because I myself didn't recommend them (the catalogue of minimalist shoes was small and there wasn't always the model that best for them).

And thanks to that, we have been able to change the lives of many people.

With the simple fact of answering a phone call, listening to their problems and advising them on the minimalist shoes that best fit their situation.

And I'm not telling you this to tell you how good we are.

We make mistakes, sometimes we forget to answer an email or a wasap and we can't always answer all the calls.

I am telling you this because I am proud.

Proud that despite the passing of time, ZaMi's philosophy is still intact, like the first day.

Reinforced with Ángel, Rafa and Josema.

And improved with the experience we have acquired over the last 13 years.


Having said that, I will end as always.

With two things.

The most important: Health starts with your feet.

The second most important thing, that you wear wide shoes, without reinforcements, flexible, light, with little sole and flat.

You know, minimalist footwear.

And from Marchena, in Seville, with 45 degrees a day in the shade, I can only advise you to wear sandals.
